Speaker Biography

Tiomóid Foley is an archaeologist and Heritage Scientist, a fellow of the society of antiquaries of Scotland, and an affiliate at the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow. Also a graduate of the Queen’s University of Belfast, he is working and freelancing in business consultation and project management in the innovation sector. His primary specialisms are Heritage and Sustainability and helping companies achieve their targets efficiently and responsibly. Tiomóid has developed years of experience working across the public, private and 3rd sectors, working internationally, and has been part of an entrepreneurial program with the British Council in India looking at UK collaborations with the startup scene there. He was the first collaborator with SENSEcity on their original application for the Creative Informatics-funded challenge pilot of Historiscope. The pilot took place at Urquhart castle where Tiomóid was pivotal in co-writing that application with SENSEcity and responding to our challenge holder Historic Environment Scotland. Later Tiomóid also wrote, and delivered the project management of the prestigious Innovate UK Audience of the future award for SENSEcity at Stirling Castle and has since written many successful grant and business proposals for them. His focus of late has been working on the Business development strategy for Historiscope.
