The Immersive Futures Lab returned in 2022 to SXSW, a unique international platform to showcase immersive work. The Lab featured the work of leading UK innovators from the cutting-edge of creative technology development, with projects drawn from AR, VR and audio technologies.

Immersive Futures Lab appeared at the 2022 edition of BEYOND, the R&D conference for the creative industries. The Lab featured projects that picked up on the theme of creative industries response to the climate crisis.

In 2022, the Immersive Futures Lab delivered a programme of events that showcased the best of UK innovation to an international audience at the SXSW festival in Austin, TX.

The R&D conference for the creative industries, BEYOND incorporated a showcase from the Immersive Futures Lab exhibiting R&D projects that echoed the conference theme of creativity and the climate crisis.

The Immersive Futures Lab featured for a second year in a row at the online BEYOND conference in 2020, with a line-up of exciting R&D projects pushing creative technologies in new directions.

As part of the BEYOND conference 2020, with the support of the Arts and Humanities Research Council, the Creative China track was introduced. This featured a fantastic Immersive Futures Lab with projects that featured UK-China collaborations in immersive technologies R&D.
