Biography
Founder of Couzin Studio, Ziad Touma is an award-winning producer, director and writer, working in film, television and interactive media, in fiction and documentary, in both English and French. With over 25 years of experience in content development, he produced eight feature films that have been theatrically distributed, sold internationally and selected in multiple international film festival competitions (Berlinale, Karlovy Vary, Seattle, etc.).
Ziad’s most recent interactive VR fiction project “The Passengers”, coproduced with France, was developed at the Sundance New Frontier Story Lab, premiered in Competition at SXSW, Tribeca, Cannes XR, NewImages Paris, FNC Montreal, Rotterdam IFFR, Geneva GIFF, Taipei IFF, was nominated as Best Experience at the World VR Awards and won a Canadian screen Award as Best interactive Fiction.
