After eight years at the head of a Senegalese production house whose works are presented around the world and broadcast on television, Marie Ka settled in Vancouver in 2013 to pursue her career in Canada.
Also a director, in 2015 she signed a short documentary film with the NFB broadcast on Radio-Canada. In Montrealer since 2018, she has fulfilled several delegated production mandates on documentary projects. In 2020, she joined forces with Mylène Augustin to create Inaru Films, a production house resolutely focused on underrepresented creators. Convinced of the importance of images for society, Marie is involved in several initiatives aimed at increasing and consolidating the place of underrepresented creators in the audiovisual industry.
